Privacy policy
Draft. This page will be finalised, with our company details and contact email, before SnagPad launches.
This policy explains what information SnagPad collects when you use the SnagPad app and SnagPad.co.uk, why we use it and the choices you have. It is written for surveyors and companies who use SnagPad, and for anyone who sends us an enquiry.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and sign-in details.
- Your settings: company name, contact details, logo, signature and report preferences that you add.
- Your surveys: the jobs you upload, including property addresses, client details you enter, snag notes, checklist answers and photos.
- Enquiries: the details you send through our Contact us form.
The app stores your surveys on your phone or tablet. Nothing leaves your device until you choose to send a job to SnagPad.co.uk.
How we use it
- To run your account and store the surveys you upload.
- To draft report wording. When a survey uploads, the text of each snag note (its location, category, severity and note, not its photos) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to draft a heading, observation and recommended action for you to review.
- To make your PDF report and snag tracker.
- To reply to enquiries and to run subscriptions.
We use your information to provide the service you have asked for, and do not sell it or use it for advertising.
Who handles it for us
- Supabase: accounts, database and photo storage, hosted in London.
- Netlify: hosts this website and receives Contact us enquiries.
- Anthropic: drafts report wording from the text of your snag notes.
- Apple and Google: take payment for app subscriptions through their app stores.
How long we keep it
Uploaded surveys stay in your account until you delete them. Each surveyor can store up to 10 surveys online at a time. If you close your account, we delete your account and your uploaded surveys. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request.
Cookies and storage
SnagPad.co.uk does not use advertising or analytics cookies. When you sign in, your browser stores a sign-in session so that you stay signed in.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
